The Ginger One

There is a cat who is rather famous in these parts. He goes by many names (Babs, Kitty, Muffin Head!) but his official name is Lux. He is very photogenic (although he hates being photographed) and here are some snaps I've taken of him.....

Not amused by me not opening the door for him!!

Hidcote

My lovely big brother is a trainee gardener at Hidcote which is a National Trust property in the Cotswolds. I recently went to visit him and took some really pretty pictures. I haven't taken many pictures of the flowers in the garden (not much of a gardener myself) but I would definately recommend a visit as the gardens are absolutely amazing. Its so easy to lose yourself at Hidcote and forget where you are in the world. They also have 2 piggies there who you must pay a visit to. I didn't take any snaps of George and Ernest but the grumpy pair are worth saying hello to. Also if you can spot Buster the cat make sure you say hi. Little attention seeker he is but such a lovely little (or rather fat!) cat.

Enjoy....(there are quite a few but I took so many and couldn't choose just a few!!)

A rather grumpy but quite lovely old race horse (I fed him a sneaky carrot and he let me scratch his neck!)

Lovely view

A little feathered friend come to munch the berries

This tree is amazing, its so big and beautiful (have to ask the gardener for the name of it?!)

I love water lillies

Speke Hall

I recently went to Speke Hall with my brother. I haven't been for a very very long time so it was lovely to go and enjoy both the house and the grounds. Speke Hall is a Natioal Trust property that consists of a tudor manor house with beatiful gardens. We went on our bikes and I would definitely recommend this instead of the car. The views as you cycle up to the house are amazing. We past a meadow which was just beautiful and saw lots of butterflies zipping around. There were no photographs allowed to be taken inside the house but I managed to sneak one!!!

Enjoy....

A view of the house

The Rose Garden, just beautiful

Speke Hall is next to the airport so you get to see the planes taking off and landing, loud but very cool

My sneaky picture from inside the house before I was told "no pictures!". This is the dining room.

Liverpool Museum

I made a visit to Liverpool Museum recently. I used to go all of the time when I was a child and really enjoyed it, but haven't been since it reopened after a revamp. Its definitely worth a visit, especially the space section (my fave bit!) and I would definitely recommend the planetarium as well.

Here are a few snaps from when I went.....
